Dans ce brevet royal,<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">on y d\u00e9signe comme \u201cgarant de ces terres \u201cle seigneur Sancio \u00c1lvarez, de Coscorrita\u201d.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Au XIV\u00e8me si\u00e8cle, le 15 novembre 1367, le roi Enrique II de Castilla conc\u00e9da son fief de Cuzcurrita avec toutes ses terres et ses richesses \u00e0 Don Juan Mart\u00ednez de Rojas. Ce n\u2019est qu\u2019au\u00a0 XVI\u00e8me si\u00e8cle, que fut cr\u00e9\u00e9<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">le majorat, sous le r\u00e8gne de Felipe II, par Don Pedro Velasco et son \u00e9pouse.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Actuellement, on peut toujours contempler leurs armoiries, qui sont sculpt\u00e9es dans la pierre sur la porte d\u2019entr\u00e9e du ch\u00e2teau.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pendant le Moyen \u00c2ge, Cuzcurrita fut une place forte entour\u00e9e de murailles faisant partie d\u2019une ligne de d\u00e9fense lors des luttes entre les royaumes de Castille et de Navarre. Cette\u00a0 contr\u00e9e de La Haute Rioja, de par sa localisation frontali\u00e8re entre diff\u00e9rents royaumes, a toujours \u00e9t\u00e9 l\u2019objet de luttes en vue de sa conqu\u00eate.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"font_8\" style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Appartenant \u00e0 la juridiction de Santo Domingo de la Calzada, elle faisait partie de la province de Burgos jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation de la nouvelle province de Logro\u00f1o en 1833.
